Tutor's Profile

I am a peer tutor at Qatar University with 3 years of experience in assisting students with mathematics subjects. I am also experienced with both offline and online tutoring. My goal is to make students enjoy the learning process by breaking down the topic into small subtopics and relating them to our real world; so students can make a connection that will help improve their understanding and academic acquisition.

My technique can be divided into the following steps: 1) Give an overall idea about the topic to give the student a sense of its importance. 2) Link the topic to an activity or an event in the real world; so the students can both understand and enhance their creativity. 3) Start explaining the topic by dividing them into subtopics. 4) Solve some exercises with the students to show them how to tackle questions and deal with difficult questions. 5) Assess the students with a short quiz. 6) Engage students in explaining the topic in 2 or 3 minutes to make sure they understood the concept well. 7) Finally, recap the topic and plan what will be covered in the upcoming session.
