Hello! Ph.D. in English from the U.S.A. I have extensive teaching experience in English at the university level. I have worked with students of diverse educational backgrounds, including non-native English speakers. As Professor of English in the U.S.A., I have had rigorous and top tier pedagogical training. Students of all ages are welcome! I can assist with school related work and other tasks: Essay and Report Writing; Research; Reading Comprehension; Resume/Cover Letter; Enhancing Speaking Skills, and anything English related!

I believe in meeting students where they are in terms of knowledge and skill set. Therefore, I will measure your prior knowledge through activities such as writing prompts and other formative assessments in order to design lectures and tasks that engage your critical and creative abilities based on your individual needs. You will walk away from every session feeling accomplished and more capable than when we began! I will provide lectures, activities, and optional homework assignments to help you achieve your goals. I monitor your growth and work very closely with you to ensure that you are meeting your own goals. I also subscribe to the belief that learning is fun, so I promise you will enjoy yourself! I am known to deliver content in fresh and relatable ways so that students stay engaged and excited. I make sure that you feel comfortable and at ease so that when you make mistakes, you learn from them! Working in a community in the U.S.A. in which one predominant minority group is Arab Americans, I have had the pleasure of teaching English as a Second Language college students. These students often struggle with reading or writing; therefore, I model for them what they are expected to do by demonstrating the learning actions and sharing my thinking process out loud. Whether it is close-reading, literary analysis, writing a research report, or composing a thesis statement, I model how to do this through several meetings, using non-linguistic cues such as visuals, gestures, and other non-verbal cues to ensure language and content are accessible to you. Essentially, I will prioritize your needs and work hard to meet you where you are in your educational journey. Sometimes this means starting with the basics! I will ensure that you grasp the foundations before we move on to more complex tasks and ideas. Ultimately, my goal is to support you in discovering your own strengths and challenge you to reach beyond your own expectations. All the while, I will help you build confidence in your own abilities.
